The key to successful breastfeeding is good position and attachment, as demonstrated in the above video.
However, if you are experiencing feeding difficulties and your baby is less than 8 weeks old, please get in touch with your Breastfeeding Support Worker or call the TAS line.
If you suspect your baby of having a tongue tie (sometimes known as frenulotomy or ankyloglossia), or if a tongue tie has been diagnosed by a health professional, you can make a referral to our specialist midwives in infant feeding / tongue tie practitioners, if your child is under 16 weeks old.
The tongue tie practitioners work for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and all referrals must be made by completing the Tongue Tie Referral form and emailing it to the Tongue Tie Team
Please note, if you're using an Apple device (such as an iPhone or iPad) please use the pages app to complete the form, and then convert back into a word document before sending via email. This will ensure we can read the referral.
For further information on tongue tie please read Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust tongue tie parent information leaflet
